The governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Friday approved with immediate effect, the appointment of a planning and development expert, Ajibike Faidat Shomade, as the General Manager of the Lagos State Urban Renewal Authority (LASURA).

Shomade had served the Lagos State Government through the State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC) where she rose to the level of General Manager, Property and Land Management, before she retired.

Ms. Shomade was primarily responsible for preparing and implementing the layouts of all the housing estates in Lagos built between 1983 and 2018.

Some of those estates include, Dolphin Estate, Ijaiye Housing Estate phase 1-4, Femi Okunnu Estate phase 1-4, amongst several others.

She holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree in Management Marketing from Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho and a Higher National Diploma in Town and Regional Planning from the Lagos State Polytechnic.

She has also received both local and international trainings in property and legal documents development and emotional intelligence among others.
