Short & sharp – The state of Nigerian football

It is sad, the state of football in our country. Football used to be the only sport we can boast of being good at in this country, but with the recent eviction of the Flying Chickens in Egypt and the poor performance of the Super Chickens in the World Cup qualifiers, football in our country is falling into disrepute. I will urge our football authorities to start preparing for Brazil 2014 from now. Also, grassroots football should be encouraged to bring out the best among us that will replace the current aged category of footballers.
