DSTV & Supersports, please note

 

 

I have been wondering what DSTV (or Multichoice) has done to its Supersport channels on the Compact Plus bouquet, where championship boxing matches are no longer transmitted. I have been on Compact Plus for a long time where I used to enjoy live boxing matches (not South African boxing) but in the past three months, I observed that boxing has been taken off Supersport channels on Compact Plus. I begin to wonder therefore, if DSTV (or Multichoice) does not consider a monthly subscription of N9,420 big enough to transmit live boxing matches as used to be the case. It would be absurd and insensitive for DSTV to assume that every subscriber that wants to enjoy live boxing must be on Premium. Several complaints on customer satisfaction have been laid against DSTV (or Multichoice) but I want to assume that this is not one of them, as I stand to be corrected on this. I therefore want Multichoice or DSTV to help clear the air on this, because personally, I am even a DSTV subscriber primarily for live championship boxing, and I can’t understand why I would be paying N9,420 every month without getting this service.

On Ndume and the Senate

 

I want someone to please, educate me on the reasonability of punishing a senator for raising an observation on an issue that was carried on several media outlets concerning the operations of the senate and other senators. I want to feel that the suspension clamped on Senator Ali Ndume should be revisited and dropped, especially as other senators with more serious allegations on their heads are still left unperturbed.  If petty sentiments are brought to bear on the activities of the National Assembly as to make it dissipate energy on minor issues when the nation is facing very serious problems, it would call to mind arguments in some quarters that the constitution needs to be re-visited on its relevance and membership.

A tale of two great Aminus

 

 

Please allow me a  space to send my greetings and recommendations to his Excellency, the governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, the mentor of my mentor, Aminu Suleiman Goro for going round the state each Friday to pray at different jumat mosques. This no doubt keeps him in touch with entire populace and encourages religious leaders. These two Aminus are very similar in initiative and their concern for religion and the country at large. Hence we pray to Allah to improve their in wealth and health and to continue to guide and protect them.

The Jos Electricity Distribution Company has improved in its operations. JEDCo is now restructured and has also introduced new plans in order to meet up with the current standard. Under the watch of Gwani Muhammad they have introduced a new system of “all auditor’s must be on field” to ascertain how the marketers operate for fair dealings with customers, and recently engaged about 200 youths to work with the company in different capacities in other to revitalize and improve electricity supply within the state.
