Shun divisive tendencies, Sultan urges Nigerians

The President-General Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Nigeria and Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has urged Nigerians to shun divisive tendencies and ensure the country remains as one nation.

The royal father stated this in his Eid-el-Kabir message to Nigerians.

“It is the responsibility of all Nigerians to work for the unity and better Nigeria,” he said.

The Sultan also pointed out that every Nigerian is free to live in any part of the country without discrimination or harassment.

He urged Nigerians to sustain their prayers for the total healing of President Muhammadu Buhari.

On this year’s hajj exercise, he lauded the Sokoto State Government for ensuring the successful transportation of the state’s pilgrims to Saudi Arabia and prayed for the safe return.
