While marking her third anniversary last month, the TW crew decided to make it worth the while by giving back and supporting people with disabilities.
Described as a project close to Onyenokwe’s heart, the collaboration has produced an audio book for the visually impaired in Nigeria. A statement by the organisers said “The project, a Plug Media initiative, will involve Onyenokwe and friends recording a book in the studio and making them available on tapes and audio CDs for the visually impaired in institutions for the blind and the visually impaired in Lagos.
“Schools for the Blind across Nigeria enjoy little support and one of their greatest needs is books whether they are Braille or audio books. To this end, we have chosen Sade Adeniran‘s award winning debut novel- ‘Imagine This’ for the TW audio recording.”
‘Imagine This’ is a-two-hundred-and-twenty six page and nine people are scheduled to read the book. Each person will read an average of twenty six pages and will spend two hours each recording their section in the studio.
The readers include Adesuwa Onyenokwe, Principal Partner of Plug Media Ltd. Ebun Feludu, Dakore Egbuson, M.I (Mr. Incredible), Bez, Ituen Basi, Taofick Okoya, Joke Silva and Mandi Brown Ojugbana.
TW Magazine launched the project on September 30, this year  as a first in a series of audio book readings for the blind and the visually impaired in Nigeria.
