Speaking at the event, Chief Executive Officer of the company, Simeon Ononobi, said the new multi-purpose online payment application systems will help individuals and cooperate bodies carry out transactions such as payment of utility bills, school fees, bank transfers, and flight and hotel bookings among others.
He said some of the online products are first of their kinds in Africa and were designed to be user-friendly where business transactions could easily be carried out using mobile phone devices, adding that for every transaction carried out using Simple Pay platform, only one percent of the amount is being charged.
Project coordinator of YOU WIN Dr Shupo Olusi who also spoke at the occasion said: “This is something we’ve been trying to introduce through the YOU WIN programme. These are the kinds of programmes we want to see in the YOU WIN scheme.”
