Covers Africa is to host Season Two of the ‘Sing to Stardom’ show, which spotlights the next big music talents from Africa.

The music TV show, according to the organisers, is designed to empower up-and-coming music artistes and to showcase their creativity, through the talent of other established musicians’ original production.

In Season One of the talent show, John C emerged the overall winner, carting home millions of naira and a major boost to his musical career.

Season Two has, however, been fixed for 2023, while the 13-week show will be aired and publicised across top media channels in Africa.

The show seeks to promote the vocal delivery skills of up-and-coming African music artists.

The Chief Operating Officer/Executive Producer of the show, Mrs Daisy Okwa, in a statement, said Covers Africa Season 2 also boasts of strategic partnerships with DKK, Films House Cinema and TSTV, adding that there are still windows for more sponsorships.

She said the second edition will feature some of Africa’s biggest music stars drilling and grooming the contestants at various stages.

The judges for this year are Bennett Ogbeiwi (Uncle Ben), Simidrey, Efe Macroc and Daniel Etim, and the hosts are VJ Adams and the delectable Bamike (BamBam).

The “audition takes place in Lagos on January 14, 2023.”

“Our team has gathered some of the best talents in music and media production to put together a show that is fashioned to give entertainment and music lovers a lifetime experience on TV”, the statement added.
