Where are you coming from?
We came from Michika.
How many of you?
Six of us.
How did you come?
We came on a motorcycle. When the Boko Haram attacked our town on Sunday, we ran to the bush to avoid getting killed. We had to run from the town because all the men had fled. We spent five days in the bush before my son came early today (last week Friday) with a motorcycle and conveyed us here. Three of us, all women, two children and my son, came on the bike.
Did you leave people in the bush?
We left so many people behind. Eight of my children were scattered in the bush and I did not see them since the day we left our houses. I am afraid because we have been told that many people have been killed by the boys.
When we crossed the river into Borno, we left many people stranded by the river, among them were women and children. Others were stranded at Lassa. And the fear of attack is very high there because the news of the atrocities the boys had committed in Vi has spread widely. We have been told that many people were killed, while churches and school buildings were set ablaze in Vi.
