It is no longer news that the giant search engine, Google, today unveiled the Google pixel and pixel XL Android smart phones at San Francisco, USA.
Barely 24hours to its launch, millions of phone users took to the internet in anticipation of seeing the pictures of the two phones earlier leaked by Verizon website.
Google had claimed that the two new products which come in three colours (Blue, Silver and Black) will offer alternative to the Apple’s popular iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
The claim may probably hinged on the following unique features of the phones:
1. Pixel has 12- and 8-megapixel cameras, full HD AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass protection, and run on a Snapdragon 821 2.15GHz processor.
2. It has 32/128GB with 4 GB RAM
3. The Pixel has a 2,770mAh battery and a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920, while the larger device will have upgrades in both departments to the tune of 3,450mAh and a 1,220 x 2,560 resolution.
4. The Pixel and Pixel XL are largely identical, save for their size. The smaller Pixel is expected to have a 5-inch display, while the Pixel XL will have a phablet-class 5.5-inch screen.
5. Instead of a fingerprint scanner on the front, the Pixel phones have theirs on the back, similar to last year’s Nexus 5X and 6P.
6. The battery is expected to last for the duration of 26hrs.
