The member representing Onitsha South-One Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr. Patrick Aniuno, has said that skill acquisition in schools leads to overall development of students and wealth creation.  

He called on governments to improve skill acquisition programmes in the school curriculum to ensure self-reliance.

The lawmaker, who stated this in Awka while speaking to journalists, said training students on skills would tackle joblessness and youth overdependence on government for employment.

He called on the youth to participate in a skill acquisition training programme at the Youth Development Centre, Mgbakwu in Awka North Local Government Area to improve themselves.
