This is the dramatic moment a huge fire ripped through a skyscraper after a blaze began in one of its lift shafts on Tuesday. This footage shows flames licking the entire length of the tower in northeast China as giant plumes of black smoke billow across the sky. Locals working in offices and shops around the skyscraper – said to have 60 storeys – said they saw a fire start at the base of the tower that quickly grew and shot up the side of the skyscraper. The building, named ‘Eton Place Shenyang’, is a massive multi-purpose structure in the Shenhe District of Shenyang, capital of north-eastern China’s Liaoning Province. The block is still under construction and no casualties were reported. he exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, but reports have suggested an air-conditioning system at the base of the lift shaft might be to blame.
