SMC appoints Shehu as managing partner

The firm of Chartered Accountants, Shehu Mohammed & Co, has announced the appointment of Mallam Shehu Olaitan Mohammed as its Managing Partner.

Shehu is coming on board at the time the firm is implementing its strategic business development and transformation plans. His appointment is expected to reposition the firm to deliver a more robust and quality service to its clients, and achieve higher business development potentials.

Shehu holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

A seasoned Professional with over 25 years cognate experience spanning professional Accounting practice, commerce and finance both in public and private sectors, his areas of expertise includes; financial reporting and analysis, audit and assurance, taxation, strategic business development and implementation, financial advisory, enterprise risk management, project management and human resource management.

Prior to his present appointment, Shehu has worked with the renowned firm of Chartered Accountants MU’ALLAHYIDI & Co in Kaduna where he was a manager and handled large and medium size audit of companies in different sectors of the economy.

His last appointment was at Media Trust Limited (publishers of Daily Trust and other tittles) where he was at a time the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company and later, the General Manager (GM) Management services).

He has attended several Executive Management training programmes both locally and internationally.

This includes the Lagos Business School, Howard Business school Washington D.C, USA and the Manchester Business School, UK.
