The Nigerian Custom Service Zonal ‘B’ coordinator, Acting Assistant Comptroller-General Aminu Dahiru yesterday charged officers of the zone to step-up their anti-smuggling efforts.

He made the assertion during an official visit to commands under the zone.

According to him, all officers must justify their earnings by ensuring that no smuggled goods are allowed into the country explaining that it is a moral burden as well as a constitutional responsibility for officers to ensure the safety of the nation’s borders.
