Socialist reconstruction as solution to Nigeria’s problems

It is the system and leadership that are responsible for the policy of the leading role of private enterprise in the economy, instead of the leading role of public enterprise in the economy to ensure peace, equality, dignity of the human person, and progressive even development of the country as provided for by Chapter II of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, particularly Section 16 of it. The present privatization, commercialization, and deregulation of the economy, and the ideas of minimum role of government in the economy, are a violation of the constitution as quoted here above. It is the socio-economic and political system, the political leadership produced by the system, and the violation of the 1999 Constitution as quoted above that are directly responsible for the present disabling level of corruption, stealing, and criminal waste of resources, poverty and hunger, unemployment, insecurity, collapses of public institutions, organized violence, irrelevance of political parties, misuse of incumbency, impunity, almost absence of law and order, etc.
The solution to the problems of Nigeria, therefore, is a socialist reconstruction of the country, starting with the leading role of the public sector in the economy to ensure peace, equality, dignity of the human person, and progressive even development throughout the country, with the complementary role of enlightened individual self-interest and none exploitative private sector.
