Sokoto communities get N2m worth drugs to fight malaria, others

Assorted drugs worth over N2 million have been donated to communities under Faga/Alaskan ward in Tambuwal local government area of Sokoto state.

The drugs which included anti malaria and antibiotics among others were to be given free to residents of the various communities in the ward,especially women and children.

Councillor representing the ward, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim who donated the drugs said the gesture was part of efforts to boost healthcare delivery in the area.

"As it is always said, health is wealth, and it is only a healthy society that can be productive, ” he stressed.

According to him, the move was to complement the efforts of the federal and state governments.

The counsellor said he intended to sustain the tempo.

He however stressed the need for the judicious use of the drugs.
