Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Jabbi Kilgori who disclosed this while commenting on the monthly environmental sanitation in the state, expressed optimism that the move would ensure proper refuse disposal.
Kilgori who noted with concern the way refuse was discarded arbitrarily in the state capital, said that the security agents would be deployed to strategic areas in Sokoto metropolis to check the trend.
He said public enlightenment undertaken to educate the people on the situation has failed to achieve the desired result.
The commissioner stressed the need for people to refrain from such attitude which, he noted, has the potential of causing outbreak of diseases.
He said efforts were on to provide more dumping points and containers towards ensuring the desired outcome of overall cleanliness of the state.
Kilgori called on the people to contribute to efforts towards a  clean environment in the state.
