The Sokoto State Government, in collaboration with the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA), has approved the recruitment of 2,440 Community Health Workers to be deployed across primary healthcare centres in the state’s 244 wards.
A statement signed by Abubakar Bawa, media aide to Governor Ahmed Aliyu, said the deployment of the new health workers would bolster basic healthcare delivery at the grassroots and improve access to essential services for residents.
The State Recruitment Committee is expected to release detailed information on the application process in due course.
