The Sokoto State government is set to review obsolete laws in its books to reflect current realities.
The state’s Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Suleiman Usman, told a news conference in Sokoto on Thursday that the state’s laws were last compiled and published in 1996.
“Most of the laws have become obsolete or irrelevant to present situations.
“The effort is to produce enhanced laws and documents for the administration of criminal justice at the law courts and to enhance government’s programmes and policies. (NAN)
