Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has appointed the Commissioner for Higher Education, Professor Bashir Garba, as the new Vice Chancellor of the Sokoto State University.
He also appointed a former Commissioner for Women Affairs, Kulu Haruna, as the Registrar of the university.
Garba was the Secretary to the Sokoto State government during the first term of the governor.
Nuhu on her part was a Deputy Registrar at the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto before her new appointment.
