Operation Safe Haven, a multi security task force maintaining peace and harmony in Plateau State said it has arrested two suspected kidnappers around Katume High Ground of Bassa Local Government Area of the state.
The operation also said it recovered arms and ammunitions from the suspects during the operation.
Parading the suspects on Monday, the spokesperson of the operation, major Samson Zhakom said “On March 15, 2025, troops of 3 Division/Operation SAFE HAVEN nabbed two notorious kidnappers, Bashir Mohammed and Ismail Mohammad in Plateau State.
“The operation, conducted under Operation LAFIYAN JAMA’A; raided kidnappers’ hideout at Katume high grounds in Bassa LGA, following a tip off that kidnappers often hide their victims in the area while negotiating for ransom. During the operation, troops recovered one AK-47 rifle and one AK-47 magazine from the kidnappers.
