Authorities of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), a security task force maintaining peace in Plateau and parts of Kaduna and Bauchi states, on Wednesday, donated a wheelchair to one Mathew Mustapha, a 14-year-old physically challenged secondary school student of Government Secondary School, Mr Ali, Jos, Plateau State.
The authorities also ordered the 3 Division’s medical hospital to take up his medical treatment free of charge.
Additionally, three sewing machines were presented to beneficiaries of the Ministry of Defence Health Implementation Programme (MDHIP).
The Commander OPSH and GOC of 3Div, General Abdulsalam Abubakar, while making the presentation to the student, said he first saw him during a tree planting campaign organised by the Plateau Peace Building Agency in Mr Ali area of Jos and felt compassion when he struggled with his old tricycle.

Witnessing the donations, the Director General (DG) of Plateau Peace Building Agency, Dr Julie Sandas, applauded the gesture and called on other organisations and individuals to emulate it.
