Soldiers have gunned down two suspected bandits’ informants, recovered a motorcycle and drugs in Kurmin-Kare village in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.
A community leader, who preferred anonymity, said the incident happened around 9am yesterday when the troops on motorcycles were on the trail of the two suspects.
He said, “It had been long that the troops had been trailing the two suspects as they always escaped whenever the troops got information of their location, until this morning, while on their way to the SCC village market on a motorcycle when they encountered the troops.”
A vigilante, identified simply as Dahiru, said the bandits’ informants usually moved from Kagarko to Katari, as well as Jere and SCC village markets gave bandits information on people, especially herders who came to sell their cows.
