The governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Soludo, Thursday, launched the first Anambra   State Investment Summit 2023 in Awka with a call on Anambra citizens to come home and invest.

The summit was designed to leap jump the state into a mega smart city

During the summit he said that the state government will give land for the Chinese government to build a Chinese Village in the state.

During the summit, the state government signed an agreement with the Chinese government for the state to be exporting mushrooms to China.

According to Soludo, the state has a special programme for Chinese investors in the state. 

The governor also said that the government has a special programme for Anambra indigenes who are coming to invest in the state. 

He further stated that his administration was working on all fronts to build a prosperous state for all Ndi Anambra and Nigerians. 

“We are also working to make our human capital productive. This is an investment that is determined to move the state forwards. We are working towards changing the state from importing to exporting. We are also working towards making Anambra a free trade zone, whereby any investor in the country without visiting Anambra has not visited Nigeria,” he said.

According to Soludo, he will be the chief marketer of any investor in the state, noting that he wears local clothes, shoes and drives Innosson Motors products for marketing purposes.
