The Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has been honoured with the 2025 First Lady of the Year in Healthcare and Child Support Award at the prestigious Nigerian Humanitarian Awards & Magazine ceremony held in Abuja.
Dr. Soludo, who has championed the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo initiative, was recognized for her tireless efforts in promoting health, nutrition, fitness, and child support across Anambra State.
In her remarks, she expressed profound gratitude for the recognition and reiterated her commitment to sustaining her humanitarian interventions.
“I couldn’t be any less grateful for the grace of consistency and support. Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo has come to stay,” she said.
She noted that every award comes with renewed expectations and a call to deeper service.
“For each laurel and accolade that come our way, we take them in the manner of greater expectations. This one is special,” Dr. Soludo affirmed.
The Anambra First Lady dedicated the award to her Healthy Living family and the children of Anambra State.
“To all of you who come out each Saturday morning to workout with me and to all the beautiful children in Anambra whose life and future have been reassured by what we do. This is for you. You are the pride of what we do!” she said.
Speaking on the recognition, the Founder and Convener of the Nigerian Humanitarian Awards & Magazine, Mr. Emmanuel Anabueze, described Dr. Soludo as “a model of selfless service and consistency in healthcare and child development.”
“What Dr. Nonye Soludo has done with Healthy Living is nothing short of inspiring. Week after week, she has mobilized communities towards fitness, preventive healthcare, and holistic wellness, while also standing as a strong advocate for children’s rights and development.
