The British can be trusted to maintain their linguistic independence, maybe because they are the birthplace of the language itself. I mean except in England where else do airport signs read ‘Baggage reclaim’ in place of the wrong but more popular ‘Baggage claim’ that one sees in most international airports. And while ‘Connecting Flights’ is what you see everywhere else, in Britain you go for ‘Flight Connections’ when you are a transit passenger.
The next time I saw another ‘gay’ double-decker bus at close range the second line was very visible. The whole advert now reads ‘Some people are gay…. get over it!.’ In complete shock I realised that the Victor-Victoria activism had conquered the English homeland. Of course there are people who claim that there are more closet homosexuals in Britain than there are open gays in the US, but as long as they remain closet, they disturb no one by flaunting their sinful lifestyle. Now here they are, telling the world to get used to them, on a public transport; the audacity of it all!
Of course you can’t blame the British gay union for such bold-faced advocacy when you consider the international outcry against Nigeria after our senate banned same-sex marriages some months ago. Imagine the British prime minister threatening us with a cut in aid, as if we need that aid to survive in the first place. Then there was the UN secretary-general Ban ki-Moon who cornered President Jonathan at an international forum to protest against our sovereign national decision. The US, of course, is the birthplace of gay activism. They made no secret of their aversion to our denial of gay’s ‘fundamental human rights.’ Hillary Clinton’s disgraceful speech at the celebration of Human Rights day last December says it all about their commitment to the support of this outright abomination. President Obama supposedly caved in to pressure in an election year and declared total support for same-sex marriages last May.
I can’t help wondering how an obvious minority got to be so influential. Even in the US, they are a tiny portion of the electorate. How they got to command so much attention is because they are a vocal few supported by a sympathetic media. Or is it like some people allege, a cult practice which powerful international figures engage in? Whatever the reason homosexuality gets so much sympathy from big personalities around the world, the evil phenomenon has certainly come a long way from when its practitioners were known as ‘queer.’
Not too long ago, when homosexuals were believed to be sick, they were not only called queer, the act itself was listed as a disease. This was so as late as the 1960s. Then slowly the powers behind the lobby decided that these transgressors were happy not sick, so their new name became gay, and their disease was removed from the list of illnesses and replaced by another word. The new word is homophobia. This means an acute dislike or hatred of homosexuals. So if you are a homophobe, you are sick and you need to see a psychiatrist immediately. This is the new world order.
It is amazing that a world which says it is committed to eradicating all dangerous diseases can be supportive of a disease-prone lifestyle like homosexuality. In an interview with famous talk-show hostess Sally Jesse Raphael, in the year 2000, one former homosexual who said he repented and got married told her that he had no less than 400 sexual partners in the few years that he had been gay. He said it was the ‘most promiscuous’ lifestyle he ever knew. How then can any serious, conscientious leader be in support of such depravity and sin?
We all know that our religious scriptures condemn homosexuality. The story of Prophet Lut’s rebellious people is here in the Holy Quran to guide us, just as the story of Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible is there to guide our Christian brothers. What more do we need to make us denounce this unnatural and sinful lifestyle, which also threatens the continuation of the human race?
To British gay activists, I say we here can never get used to people being gay. They have the choice to remain in their closet while with us or emigrate to where they will be welcomed, warts and all.
…. And shy of the Olympics
Just when I thought gays in Britain were unstoppable, they did a disappearing act. The ‘gay’ double-deckers suddenly disappeared. I kept looking around, not because I miss them, but because they’ve become something I’ve come to expect, but everywhere I looked, in the last few days, the advocacy was no more. Then I realised what was happening. London is being made over, and I mean really ‘made over’ in preparation for the upcoming summer Olympics.
Everywhere you look, the new advocacy is to make Great Britain look great in the eyes of the world. There is a definite move to make sure that Olympians and spectators alike see no evil and hear no evil, throughout the sports fiesta beginning later this month. Could this be the reason gays took shelter from their brazen advocacy? Well it is heartening to know that they have a bit of ‘shame’ left in them. It is refreshing to know that even they are shy of bringing shame to Great Britain. And this is hoping that the ‘gay’ buses are gone for good.
