But fairly recently, about six months ago, I discovered that my friend’s husband, who is a pilot buys your paper regularly, so I started booking for them after him and he gladly sends them to me. My point is why can’t we get your paper in Lagos? After all, I don’t believe you are strictly a northern paper, you have expanded considerably.

Something else is the weekly Trust, which covered the dredging of the river Niger this week, a lovely story. It’s just like a TIME magazine piece. I also like Amina Alhassan’s Womanhood, even though her opinions may be strange sometimes. She is also a good reporter, I can see. The Nneka interview is wonderfully precise. I had to look for Nneka’s album that very day! I was not disappointed and I look forward to more stories and interviews by him. I miss his interviews and special reports from several years back.

And thanks, thanks, thanks for the crosswords. Very original, very Nigerian. Any chance we’ll get Sudoku on the same page too? Please?

As for columns, I enjoy Kabir Mato and Philosofaith by Prof. Ndagi. Good work, my brothers. Finally, I love Bala Muhammad’s column, but frankly am tired of seeing his OVER TO YOU instalments, which has reached 10 now. Haba, Malam! There are far better things to talk about than what people are saying about your writing, which is positive most of the time anyway.
