Speaking at the commissioning last week, the minister said the operations of SON are central to the country’s drive for diversification of the economy and providing conducive atmosphere that will enhance the overall output of the staff of the organization.
The Director General of SON, Dr Joseph Odumodu while conducting the minister through a guided tour of the new office complex disclosed that works have reached advance stage for the completion of a four-storey ultra-modern laboratory complex comprising 20 different labs.
Odumodu said, “Wthin the last four years, the focus of the agency had been on personnel, physical infrastructure and the legislation to position the agency for economic diversification.
“We’ve also upgraded our metrology lab in Lekki supported by mobile metrology labs for onsite operations as part of efforts to curb infrastructural deficit in the organization.”
