Kwara police spokesman, Ajayi Okasanmi, said, “Ibrahim later took the father on a motorcycle he borrowed to an isolated uncompleted building and strangled him to death, dug a shallow grave and buried him after dispossessing him of the Wema Bank ATM card they went to the bank to collect.

“He then escaped to Kaduna State and withdrew N59,000. He confessed that he killed his father because of the ATM card since he already knew the pin and also sold the borrowed motorcycle before running to Kaduna.”

The spokesman said the ATM card and the stolen motorcycle had been recovered.
