SON to tackle importation of sub-standard products

Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) Kano office has promised to continue fighting importation of sub-standard products into the state to ensure healthy living among residents in the state and the nation in general.

The state coordinator of the organisation, Mr. Yunusa Mohammed disclosed this when he received the delegation from Journalist for Nutrition (J4N) in his office.

He said the organization had been working with the media in enlightening the public on its activities and on the need to emphasize on utilisation of products that met the standard set by the agency.

While appealing to the delegation to work assiduously in ensuring that Nigerians are not malnourished, the coordinator urged the media to continue working with SON in the fight against the importation of sub-standard products into the state in particular and the nation in general to safeguard innocent citizens.

Earlier in his remark, the Chairman of the association Mr. Abdulgafar Oladimeji said they were at the SON office to seek the organisation’s cooperation in ensuring a well-nourished and healthy society.
