South South elders want PDP’s NWC dissolved

The group also called for the immediate inauguration of a technical committee to work towards re-positioning the party to ensure its victory in the next four years.
The group in a statement issued yesterday by its spokesman, Chief Tamuno Tekena, said it arrived at the decision at the end of its meeting in Port Harcourt on Monday.
The statement said the party elders in the South-south are presently consulting with South-south governors on how to move the party forward.
The group said it has consulted with other elder statesmen in the region among whom were Chief Tony Anenih and Chief Edwin Clark in reaching its decision.
