The Speaker of Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Mr. Tonye Isenah, has called for concerted efforts to end all forms of abuse against women and children.

According to him, the rampant cases of sexual abuse and domestic violence should be a cause for concern to everybody, especially when those involved are minors.

Speaking during the unveiling/launch of a book, “Broken Dreams”, Isenah advised women to speak up when they face such situations.

He commended the author of the book, Mrs Enobong Etukakpan, and assured that copies would be distributed to all schools in his constituency for the benefit of students.

The book reviewer, Rev. Mrs Juliet Teibowei, encouraged the girl-child to get educated, noting that the book would encourage those who have lost their dreams, to realize it.
