The Oyo State Government has dispelled online reports that the office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) was burgled last week.
The government said newsmen should always seek clarifications from the appropriate authorities to avoid feeding members of the public with fake news.
Speaking to newsmen Saturday in Ibadan, the state capital, the chief press secretary to Governor Seyi Makinde, Mr Taiwo Adisa, described the reports as unfounded.
He said checks with the security operatives at the secretariat confirmed that nothing of such happened.
