The Federal College of Education (FCE) Okene chapter of the Senior Staff Union of Colleges of Education in Nigeria (SSUCOEN) has expressed support for the ongoing process for the appointment of a new provost for the college.
The Union in a press statement signed by its Chairman, Comrade Tunde Imam and Secretary, Comrade Enesi Prince Habib, dissociated itself from the threat of industrial action by the Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU) over the ongoing appointment process citing irregularities.
The senior staff union said it had fully aligned itself with the process to appoint a new provost for the college and cautioned that any attempt to scuttle the process would lead to disruption of industrial peace.
