The quarter-final matches of the 2021 Daura Senatorial Zone PMB Cup will begin this afternoon (4pm) at the magnificent Daura township stadium with the first match between Star Rolling FC Daura and Shargalle Reformers of Dutsi.
To qualify for quarter-finals, Star Rolling FC Daura edged out B. Dortmund Kankia while Shargalle Reformers Dutsi subdued Buhari Babes of Daura in the other Round of 16 clash.
Other quarter-final matches will see Ingawa United FC squaring up with Galaxy FC Mani on August 31, FC Porto Zango will engage Tudan Wada United FC on September 2 while the final quarter-final match between Kusugu Rangers FC and New United FC will be held on September 3.
The Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), Alhaji Sani Abu Daura said the match between Star Rolling FC Daura and Shargalle Reformers will be graced by dignitaries like the Chairman of Katsina United FC, Prince Abdussamad Badamsi and the assistant coach of Enugu Rangers, Bebe.
He also said Hon. Amadu Adidas, Special Assistant on Sports to Governor Aminu Bello Masari and Hon. Sade Gambo Daura will be in attendance as well.
“We are going to have special guests at the opening match. Without doubt, the presence of the Chairman of Katsina United, Prince Abdussamad Badamasi will motivate the players to put in their best because those who put up excellent performances may realise their dream of playing for the Nigeria Professional Football League side,” said Daura
The Secretary General of the LOC, Aliyu Bello reiterated that the special guests will spur the players to perform optimally.
All quarter-final matches will be played at Daura township stadium.
