The Katsina State Government has signed a memorandum of Understanding of over N15 billion with the Federal Government for the completion of the Zobe Water Works.
The signing ceremony took place at the project site Monday in Dutsin-ma where the state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu signed on behalf of the state government, while the Minister for Water Resources, Sulaiman Hussaini Adamu signed on behalf of the Federal Government.
The deputy governor said out of the N15 billion, Katsina State would spend N3 billion in the Phase II, while the Federal Government would release N12.5bn for phase I.
Yakubu said the Phase II of the water project would include pipe networking from Dutsin-ma water works to the benefitting communities across the state, as well as provision of facilities and maintenance.
