The traditional  ruler of Rubochi in Kuje Area Council,  Alhaji Ibrahim  Mohammed  Pada, has told officials of the FCT administration that the deplorable state of Nuku-Rubochi-Gwargwada road has become a nightmare to them.

Pada  stated this when the  new mandate  secretary of the  Area Councils  Service Commission (ACSS), Adamu Abubakar  Bappah,  led other officials  on a courtesy visit to his palace last  Thursday.

He said the road, which was constructed over 25 years ago, was now in deplorable state and causing serious  hardship to motorists in the area.

He said hoodlums sometimes took advantage  of the condition of the road to rob travellers plying it.

The traditional ruler also lamented the deplorable state  of his palace, which he said has been a security threat to him and his chiefdom, and called on the FCT  administration  to urgently intervene.

Also,  the Agabe of Gwargwada,  Alhaji Hussain Agabi Mam,  who received the secretary and his team at his palace, complained about non-implementation of five percent of the councils monthly  allocation for traditional institutions.

The secretary of ACSS, said he led the team on a familiarisation  tour to Kuje chiefdom in order to interact with the stakeholders to ascertain their  challenges so that the FCT  administration would intervene.

He assured that he would work with relevant  authorities, especially the Satellite  Towns Development  Department  (STDD), to ensure they intervened  on the deplorable state of Nuku-Rubochi- Gwargwada road.

City News reports that the council chairman,  Galadima, later led the team to inspect some water projects at Atako village of the council.
