Governor Aliyu made the statement yesterday when he received in audience the state’s traditional rulers, who paid him Sallah homage at his personal residence in Minna, saying the issue of the on shore, off shore dichotomy was not settled as some Nigerians would want the people to believe.

He added that if constitution amendment could be effected there was nothing wrong for people to dialogue on the issue of onshore/offshore law, saying ‘in PIB, we notice that there are many things that will affect our people and we needed to discuss it and we needed to understand how to approach our members of the national and state assemblies when issues like that come up’.

According to him, the forum’s position on state police stand until when it became obvious for its establishment, said “if any superior argument is advance for the creation of state police we will be able to change our position, but at the moment we do not see why it should happen”.

The governor said the forum has given powers to the peace committee it set up recently to discuss with all those with agitation including Boko-Haram leaders and advice the forum on the best way to ensure security in the region and the entire country.

He also told the traditional rulers on his administration plan to construct a Christian and Islamic centers at the proposed Three Arms Zone Minna as well as the construction of a new Minna City Centre at the old market in Minna.
