Stella Damasus to debut gospel album

Renowned Nollywood actress, Stella Damasus, is set to release her first gospel album on April 24, 2016, which coincides with her birthday.
The album titled ‘The Alternative,’ and which features Nollywood actor and singer, Gabriel Afolayan, is produced by her husband, Daniel Ademinokan, who disclosed this via a video he posted on Instagram.
The news of the forthcoming album however, was made known to the public through the actress’ Instagram page.
Damasus, who is now based in the US, started her career as a singer in Lagos where she worked in a studio owned by Kingsley Ogoro, is turning full gear into music. 
Actresses like Genevive Nnaji and Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde had once delved into music that didn’t make wave in the entertainment industry.
Damasus recently released her second single titled, ‘Ja Gi Mma’ from the expected album. It is a song which is a remake of the Igbo praise song that gives adoration to God. She had previously released a single from the same album titled, ‘The Man.’
She is not only a gospel singer but is also into secular music. She had earlier done a single, ‘Love me quick’ where she had a collaboration with the sensational dance-hall artiste, Lamboginny aka Mr. Loverman.
