Sterling Bank Plc has announced the appointment of Temitayo Adegoke as its Company Secretary and Chief Legal Counsel.

A statement issued by the bank said Adegoke’s appointment came after Justina Lewa retired from the company.

It also said Adegoke’s appointment has been approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

It said Adegoke is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of legal and banking experience. Prior to joining Sterling Bank, she was the General Counsel and Company Secretary of Rand Merchant Bank Nigeria Limited (RMBN).

She is bringing on board the knowledge, skills, and extensive experience that she has garnered over the years, it was gathered.

Adegoke also worked at First Bank of Nigeria Limited and the commercial law firm of Aluko & Oyebode.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Lagos, a Master’s degree in Law from Kings College, London, UK and an MBA degree from the University of Warwick, UK. She was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2002.

Adegoke is an honorary member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (HCIB), a member of the International Bar Association and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK (Nigeria Branch).
