Unfortunately, they are yet to regain their freedom, even as their location is not known despite the presence of international security experts with their sophisticated weapons, search machines and celebrated expertise.
Suffice it to say that the failure of the international community to help in rescuing the girls is a dangerous boost to the weakness of the Nigerian government. I have been finding it pretty difficult to believe that the whole world could not locate and rescue these Chibok girls after so many days. It means that we are in a deep mess in this country.  
For the #BringBackOurGirls# activists, I want to say that time is consuming their efforts. Many of the activists are tired while some have left their camp. Having tagged them members of the opposition, it is obvious that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led federal government will not take their campaign seriously. The truth is that many people no longer take them seriously. The attention of Nigerians is now on the National Conference, Nyako impeachment and 2015 political permutations.
Our hearts are still with the innocent children and all other victims of this already prolonged crisis. The federal government should increase its efforts to ensure the security of lives and property in the country. Most importantly, the federal government should be sincere in fighting corruption, injustice and all administrative anomalies. This is the only way to discourage insurgency and other social crimes.
I pray that this blessed month of Ramadan would bring peace to the North-East and the entire country.
