‘Stop illegal issuance of indigeneship certificates now’

Although the government has provided legal means of obtaining certificates of indigineship, there are illegal ways usually followed by unscrupulous elements to register non- indigenes for financial gains.

Based on government procedures, one needs to be a bona fide indigene of a state to qualify to collect the certificate.

Nonetheless, many obtain the certificate without being bona fide members of a state or local government area just to accomplish their selfish goals socially and politically.

To back up my point, multiple students and graduates seek indigene certificates from states other than their states for admission and job purposes.

Similarly, politicians are also acquiring certificates of states they don’t belong to in order to actualise their political ambitions.

Therefore, putting an end to this unprecedented indigeneship acquisition by illegal means will help the nation to curtail crime and other unscrupulous activities.
