The Senior Special Assistant to the president on youth and students matters, Jude Imagwe, made the call in Kaduna State when he visited the NANS president, Tijjani Usman, who was involved in a car crash recently.
Imagwe lamented the consistent involvement of the student leaders in road accidents saying it calls for concern.
“We want to urge the student affairs officers that our student union presidents should not be allowed to drive student union vehicles by themselves again. It is becoming worrisome when we begin to see student union leaders getting involved in accidents.
“We remember the death of the Senate president who died along with five others. We sincerely wish to appeal to managements of our institutions to stop them from driving,” Imagwe said.
“And on behalf of the president we express our condolences to the family of Archa Kalu, who died in the accident,” the presidential aide said.
