Two middle-aged men were yesterday charged with murder before a Botanical Garden Chief Magistrate’s Court in Ebute Meta, Lagos, on two separate criminal charges.
First was the case of 23-year-old Kabiru Akinsanya, who was alleged to have killed one Alhassan Isaa by stabbing him to death with a knife on his chest.
According to the police, the accused person committed the offence on December 26, 2019 at about 5am at the Ajegunle area of Takwa Bay, Lagos.
No plea was taken from Akinsanya, who was to be remanded in custody pending legal advice from the office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Lagos State.
In a separate charge, 25-year-old Uchenna Ifeakor was alleged to have killed one Mohammed Zaradeen, 26, during a fight by stabbing him to death with a knife.
The prosecuting police officer, Jimoh Isaghede, alleged that the offence was committed on December 18, 2019 at about 12pm at No. 22, Keshington Street, Satelite Town, Lagos.
No plea was also taken from Ifeakor and his case was adjourned till February 2, 2020, pending legal advice from the DPP.
