A 23-year-old student, Olamide Olakunlade, who allegedly forged the letterhead papers of Ikeja Local Government indigeneship, on Monday, appeared before an Ikeja chief magistrate court.

The defendant is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and forgery, however, he pleaded not guilty.

According to the prosecutor, Sgt. Kenrich Nomayo, the defendant allegedly conspired with others on March 5 to commit felony by forging letters of Ikeja Local Government indigeneship.

He said the staff of the Department of State Service (DSS) intercepted the defendant while on duty at Ikeja Local Government Area and found letterhead papers of the local government on him, which were suspected to be fake.

The chief magistrate, Mrs T.A. Ojo, admitted to the defendant to bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

She adjourned the case until April 23 for mention. (NAN)
