A Reproductive and Maternal Health expert, Dr Mairo Mandara, has advised graduating students of Noble Hall Leadership Academy for Girls, Abuja, to show love and respect for the needy and poor people.

She made the appeal at the graduation ceremony of the academy on Saturday. She called on the students to ensure equity and justice and show love and care for the less privileged.

In his speech, Ambassador Usman Sarki urged the graduates to be smart and confident in translating adversity into opportunity.

Also, the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mrs Aishah Ahmad, asked the graduates to ensure accountability in every decision they take and be open to opportunities and experiences as well as read books and learn lessons from others.

The director and founder of the school, Maryam Mutallab Duba, told the graduates to develop self-determined motivation in pursuing a career or profession as well as be kind to the people they come across.  

Several awards were given to different students for academic achievements. The awards were said to be based on outstanding performances in the academy’s exams in Art, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, ICT, Languages, Biology, Geography and History.  

Other prizes were Sports Personality Award, Original Defined Style in Art, Perfect Attendance Award and Salutatorian Award.

However, Fatima Danjuma, stood tall among the graduands after winning the principal’s award, given to the overall well-behaved student. She was given a university scholarship by the school.
