Africa Plus Partners (APP) has asked university undergraduates with business ideas to apply for sponsorship.
APP, with networks all over Africa, will select 10 successful undergraduates for sponsorship.
APP Managing Director, Nigeria, Mr Adeniran Adekaiye, told journalists in Calabar that the candidates would have their business proposals listed for sponsorship and also win cash prizes worth N1.8 million.
He said the intention is to boost educational and enterprise development of university students and also chart a new course of life for them.
“APP student venture prize is designed to empower entrepreneurial ventures by Nigerian undergraduate students by supporting individual students who have identified a significant opportunity that can create large-scale impact.
“We are now receiving online applications until 10 November 2019, when the finalists would be brought to Calabar for a one-week fully paid boot camp for intense training on different aspects of practical business education, understanding business environment and such business education topics.
“During the grand finale, they will defend their proposals before a critical panel, first prize winner gets N1 million and two other runners up will share N500,000,” he said.
