They were displayed during a software exhibition programme, recently, held at the department, with a number of students showing off their programming talents.
Some of the software exhibited under web application included chat site, student record system and digital alarm system for PCS, flight booking systems and stock inventory systems.
A senior lecturer at the department, Mr. Oladipupo Taiwo, said that the software exhibition was an annual event to display software for the education of staff and students of the institution.
He said that the software on web design packages, desktop applications, and others, could be used to solve pressing human problems.
One of the students, Nkiruka Daniella, whose project was on electronic library, said that knowledge of programming language has helped her harnessed her skills in programming.
The software exhibition was meant to enlighten the public and the polytechnic community on the advancements made in the 21st century.
