Physics students of Mainstream Energy Solution Secondary School, Jebba North, Niger State have constructed a home car battery charger.
The school’s Physics teacher, Mr Afolabi Benjamin, said in an interview that his students have invented a battery charger that can recharge a car and motorcycle batteries if they are in good condition.
The teacher said the charger works by connecting the negative and positive terminals of the charger to the negative and positive terminals of the battery. The battery charges within two hours. The charger is easier to use and smaller in size.
He said some of the materials used in making the charger included circuit diagram, capacitor and transistor.
