Students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka on Monday protested against the school management’s high-handedness which led to the banning of the Student Union Government (SUG) on campus and the rustication of eleven students, among other issues.
The protesters who gathered around the school campus in Akoka were seen chanting anti-establishment songs and intermittently giving speeches to pour out their grievances against the school authority.
The students led by members of “Save UNILAG Coalition” demanded for the restoration of UNILAG student’s union (SUG), improve welfare conditions on campus for students and their lecturers, and immediate and unconditional reinstatement of eleven students who were rusticated earlier at the institution for various offences.etc.
