Students to benefit from Oando’s ICT coding skills

The programme is part of the series of activities embarked upon by the foundation, an independent non-profit organization and the corporate social responsibility (CSR) unit of the Oando Plc as a way of giving back to the country.
Speaking at the official commissioning of a new and pilot phase of ICT Centre in one of its adopted schools in Lagos, Archbishop Taylor Primary School in Victoria Island, the Director of the foundation, Tokunboh Durosaro said the coding initiative tagged AfricaCoderDojo is a project in partnership with the U.S. State Department’s Global Partnership Initiative, LIONS@FRICA, CoderDojo and the Hello World Foundation.
According to her, Oando foundation, established in 2011 is an independent charity launched by Oando PLC with the aims to support the Nigerian Government to meet the Millennium Development Goals to achieve Universal primary education.
She said the foundation’s mission is to radically improve the quality of teaching and learning in Nigerian schools and communities by ensuring access to world class basic education systems.
